Lloyd and and Vicki met in 1974 while students at Dordt College in Sioux Center IA.  After all the typical freshman meanderings of what to major in, they both landed in the Social Work Program where their initial friendship began and soon turned to courtship. They were married during their senior year, ready to change the world, the charge given to their graduating class. Their understanding of how one goes about changing the world has shifted over the years, but the passion to make a difference has always remained.

Lloyd is originally from Terrace BC and Vicki, from Racine WI. They moved to Maple City MI in May 2019 after living in Racine WI for 5 years, Sioux Center IA for 8 years and Des Moines IA for 27 years. Together, they have 4-7 children and 9-15 grandchildren (depending how you count them) who live in various US states and provinces. As you might guess, they encourage their children and grandchildren to live passionate lives that will change the world.
